Carmina's Mexican Food | Our Story

A family kitchen since 1988
Nearly four decades later, the same family is behind the counter — cooking the same recipes from scratch, the same way they always have.
How it started
Carmina opened on Perris Boulevard in 1988 — a family-owned spot that became one of those places people feel lucky to know about.
Cooked to order, every time
Everything on the menu is made fresh and cooked to order — no shortcuts, no steam trays. If your food takes a few minutes, that's why, and it's worth it.
The salsa people talk about
The salsa here has its own fan base — pepper-forward, with a slow-building heat. Guests love it so much they buy it by the pint to take home.
Regulars who followed us here
Some customers have been coming for close to two decades. One guest drives thirty minutes each way just for the taquitos and machaca burrito.
